WORLD DIRECTOR

Sensei Geoffrey R. Spohn

Sensei Geoffrey R. Spohn is the World Director for the IMAU
Sensei Spohn has been involved with martial arts his entire life.  As a child, he was taught the fundamentals of karate by his instructors.  Since that time, Sensei Spohn has proven to be a fierce practitioner, continuing to study as many different styles as he can.  He holds high rank black belts in multiple disciplines, and has been inducted into the United States Martial Arts Hall Of Fame.

EXECUTIVE SECRETARY

Marytheresa Carlson

Marytheresa Carlson has been appointed as the IMAU Executive Secretary.
Ms. Carlson has been a practitioner of the martial arts for several years.  She graduated from Lake Superior State University, with a degree in criminal justice, and has proudly served as a law enforcement officer for 10 years.

UNITED STATES AMBASSADOR

Darrell Smith

The IMAU is proud to appoint Darrell Smith as its sole United States Ambassador.
Mr. Smith has been a martial arts practitioner for over 50 years.  He is a multiple black belt holder and father of American Jite Ryu Karate.  Mr. Smiths' lifetime in the martial arts has earned him seats on numerous international martial art organizations, including being the president of the International Grandmasters Council.

As the United States Ambassador, Mr. Smith will be serving as a technical liaison for all members of the IMAU.  If you need advice, support, or just want to talk feel free to contact him at the email link.

NORTH EAST


  Soke Mario Hoffman

Mario Hoffman is the North East Regional Director for the IMAU.
Soke Hoffman has been in training in the Martial Arts for better than thirty (30) years, and holds a 8th Degree Black Belt.  His background consists of Jun Fun, Muay Tai, Kali, Escrima, and Savate.  He is the owner of Yihn Martial Arts Academy, and founder of American-Ki-Do-Ryu Karate, which teaches its practitioners no nonsense defensive skills.

SOUTH EAST

Sifu Erlinda V. Lopez

Erlinda Lopez
is the South East Regional Director for the IMAU.
Sifu Lopez started training in the Martial Arts at the age of 18.   She loved the martial arts, but took a sabbatical to join the Marine Corps, and upon return from military service, she attended college and received a BA in Journalism, and a second bachelors degree in Psychology.

While in college, she was able to return to the martial arts.  She has trained in Tae Kwon Do, Judo, Kenpo, Isshinryu, Shotokan, Cuongh Nhu, Nido Shubi Ryu Karate-Do, and Jeet Kune Do. 
Sifu Lopez holds
a green belt in Cuongh Nhu, 2nd Degree Black Belt in Nido Shubi Ryu Karate-Do, and a 4th degree Black Sash in Jeet Kune Do.

Erlinda is a certified instructor for Jeet Kune Do, and is a member of the World Jeet Kune Do Organization, World Elite Black Belt Society, and is excited and honored to serve as the
South East Regional Director for the Intercontinental Martial Arts Union.

NORTH WEST

  Renshi Paul Dyer

Paul Dyer is the North West Regional Director for the IMAU
 
Renshi Dyer started his martial arts training in New York.  After a stint in traditional karate, he found the Ed Parker System of Kenpo Karate, where he trained with several great instructors.  Included was an opportunity to test in front of Master Bill Ryusaki .  Mr Dyer is also trained in Military Close Quarter Combat Fighting, Yang Style QI Gong, Chi Na, Musoshindenryo Iaido, has trained under Grandmaster Edmund Louis in Hawaii Kenpo Karate.

Mr. Dyer has a MA in exercise science, and is a certified personal trainer with over 15 years of experience.  In August of 2009 he was inducted into the United States Martial Arts Hall Of Fame, and was promoted to the level of 6th Dan Black Belt in the art of Kenpo Karate.  Along with his promotion the IMAU awarded Mr. Dyer the the title of Renshi.

SOUTH WEST


Kyoshi Jeff Ader

Kyoshi Ader is the South West Regional Director for the IMAU.
Kyoshi Ader
began training in June 1970 under Alfred Gossett in Goshin Do Karate and Jiu Jitsu. After 20 years of study and training Sensei Ader was promoted to 5th Dan in June of 1990, shortly before converting to Kenshin Kan under Grandmaster Kise.

Kyoshi Ader promoted to his 6th Dan and given the title of Shihan on June 9th, 1996.
June 2001 he achieved his 7th Dan, plus given the title of Kyoshi.

In May of 2009 Kyoshi Ader tested in front of GM Fusei Kise and GM Isao Kise, and was promoted to the rank of Hachi Dan / 8th Degree Black Belt

Mr. Ader resides in Colorado and keeps a strenuous teaching, research and seminar schedule, and is also the head Traditional Karate Instructor at the United States Air Force Academy working with Cadets to develop mind, body and spirit along with practical and effective close combat skills.

Edward DellaCroce is the IMAU's North Carolina State Director.
Ed began his Martial Arts career in 1979 studying Shaolin Kempo Karate under, Grandmaster John M. Stover.  While living in Korea Ed also studied Kuk Sool Won & Hapkido under Grandmaster Sang,Un Jin.  Ed has over 37 years of combined Military and Civilian Law Enforcement experience, Advance Law Enforcement certification and a Associates degree in Criminal Justice.  He is certified in Police Baton and Self Defense Tactic, and holds Black Belts in 4 martial arts disciplines.

Rhode Island  -  Hanshi Larry S.L. Martin


Hanshi Martin began his martial arts career as a child, training in Moo Duk Kwon TKD.  Over the course of the next 4 1/2 decades, Hanshi Martin has studied multiple systems of martial arts, and he is the founder of Shojukempo Karate-do.

Over a lifetime of training Hanshi Martin, can trace his lineage back to 1964, and has earned the rank of black belt in multiple system of the martial arts, and
the IMAU is honored to name Hanshi Martin as our Rhode Island State Director.

THE UKRAINE
    




Shihan Salam Kahil

  Salam Kahil is the Intercontinental Director for the Country of the Ukraine.

  Mr Kahil holds a Seventh Degree Black Belt.  He started in the martial arts in 1980, focusing on Kyokushinkai karate, under the instruction of Grandmaster Hashem Makki.
He is the founder of Simmey-Do Karate, which means "the way of the bright spirit".
Shihan Kahil is also the President of the International Simmey-Do Karate Federation.

GREECE          



Soke Nasiakos Spyros


Nasiakos Spyros is the Intercontinental Director for the country of Greece.

Soke Nasiakos Spyros has been a martial artist since he was very young. He has studied several different styles and has been awarded with various grades and titles.

In 2000 he was awarded his 5th Dan in Okinawa Seishinryoku by Sokon C. Hanachiro.  In 2004 he was elected by Hanachiro to carry the torch of Seishinryoku and in 2005 after Sokon C. Hanachiro died he made the grade of Hachi Dan, 8th Degree Black Belt.

Thus today following a glorious course of 26 Years and having been honoured by many International Karate organizations for his contributions to martial arts he continues training and teaching all over the world.

Prof. Gilberto Pauciullo

Gilberto Pauciullo is the Intercontinental Director for the country of Italy.
Prof. Pauciullo started training in the Martial Arts in 1958 at the age of six, under and with his father Salvatore Pauciullo.  Over the course of his training he studied and acheived black belts in multiple disciplines.
In January 2008, Mr.
Pauciullo celebrated his 50th year in the Martial Arts.  On top of that huge accomplishment, Mr. Pauciullo is also credited as the father of the system "MAN SEER KUNG PAI" (BIG SNAKE FIST SCHOOL).

Giuseppe Di Garbo

Giuseppe Di Garbo acts as Co Intercontinental Director for Italy.
Soke Di Garbo has attained black belts in multiple disciplines including;
Soke Kaiso 10th Dan Karate Goju Do Moderno
Soke Kaiso 10th Dan Jiu-Jitsu Goju Do Moderno
Soke Kaiso 10th Dan Self-Defence Goju Do Moderno

James Moclair

James Moclair is the Intercontinental Director for England.
Mr. Moclair has been studying martial arts for 41 years.  For the last 25 years he has been teaching martial arts professionally.  In 1985, he was the British Nunchaku Free Style Champion and 1986, was the World Ju Jutsu Demonstration Champion in which he won a Gold medal for. Even though he is 55 years old he is still classified as one of the best Nunchaku users in the world! This reputation led him to doing lots of demos and shows over the globe.  Some of his demos have been over three hours long.  If you would like to see him action you can find some video on www.youtube.com

Shihan Rodrigo T. Paycana

Rodrigo Paycana is the Intercontinental Director for the Phillipines.
Shihan Paycana started training in the martial arts in 1967.  His main focus of study has been the art of Shotokan Karate, in which he has a 7th Degree Black Belt.
  He has founded to martial arts organizations; the SHOTOKAN MARTIAL ARTS INTERNATIONAL (SMAI).  He has organized multiple meetings of martial arts Instructors And Seminars. In 1992, under his leadership he organized the first and the biggest public Martial Arts tournament in Saudi Arabia.

Ayman Bin Nasser

Ayman Bin Nasser is the Intercontinental Director for Saudi Arabia.
Sensei Nasser began studying the martial arts in 1993.  Presently he holds the rank to 3rd Degree Black Belt in Shotokan Karate, and Aiki Jiu Jitsu.  Along with his degrees in the martial arts,
Sensei Nasser has a Masters Degree in Business Administration.

TRINIDAD & TOBAGO                



Shihan John Davis

Shihan John Davis is the Intercontinental Director for Trinidad & Tobago.
Shihan Davis is a 6th Degree Black Belt in the art of Vic-Jiu-Jitsu-Ryu.  In 1989 he started the
VCS Martial Arts Youth Training Institute, who's main goal is to help youth find christ through the martial arts.  Outside of the dojo Shihan Davis proudly serves as a Fire Fighter, and is also a Licensed Massage Therapist.

Sijo Gerd Stobbe was the Intercontinental Director for Germany.
Sijo Stobbe was a martial artist for 50+ years, and held a 10th Dan Black Belt in Shaolin Chuan.  Many feel loss of this great man.  Rest In Peace our friend.

Mohamed Hassan
Mukhtar Abu Zaid is the Intercontinental Director for Sudan.
Mr. Zaid has been a practitioner of the martial arts for several years.  His main focus is on the discipline of Shotokan Karate, in which he holds the rank of 5th Degree Black Belt.

Sefik Gulten

Sefik Gulten is the Intercontinental Director for the country of Turkey.
Mr. Gulten holds the rank of tenth degree black belt, and has been a martial arts practitioner for better than 40 years.  He is the Soke/Founder of the Wakazamurai system of martial arts.

Taron Abrahamyan

Taron Abrahamyan is the Intercontinental Director for Armenia.
Mr. Abrahamyan has been a martial artist for several years.

Switzerland              



Kaicho Stephan Breu

Stephan Breu is the Intercontinental Director for the country of Switzerland.
Kaicho Breu was born in 1965, and is Founder of Seishin-Ryu Kiko-Jitsu.  His roots are mainly in Japanese Martial Arts (Kyokushinkai) and Chinese Energy Work (Qigong). He holds Black Belts in multiple systems, and represents Kyokushin Budo International Organization,
and is the Chairman of the Referee Committee of World Sports Karate Federation and licensed Referee Sanshou of Swiss Wushu Federation.

Besides Martial Arts he is also a Usui Reiki Master/Teacher in the Usui Shiki Ryoho Tradition and the same in various other Energy "Reiki" Systems.

Puerto Rico              



Shihan Ramon L. Colon Velez

Ramon Velez is the Intercontinental Director for Puerto Rico.
Shihan Velez was born in Puerto Rico in 1961, and has been a martial arts practitioner for almost 30 years.  He holds the rank of 6th degree black belt in Goju Ryu Karate, is also belted in Kaisendo.  Along with being a student he is also a teacher who runs 3 Goju Dojos.  Outside of the dojo he a Police Sergeant with the San Juan Metro Police Department.  Shihan Velez also serves as a Captian in the US National Guard in Puerto Rico.
